Free Adjustment Layer for Final Cut Pro
Put your effects above your clips instead of on them. Drop one layer over your timeline, add a grade, a LUT or any effect, and everything underneath takes the look. Change it once and the whole sequence updates.
Love adjustment layers? Transition Adjustment Layers turn any cut into a transition. Take a look →One layer. Endless control.
Grade a whole sequence at once
Give an interview, a montage or a full film one consistent look, then tweak it in a single place.
Target just one section
Trim the layer to a few clips for a dreamy flashback, a film grain B-roll section or a punchy music moment.
Stack your looks
Keep a base grade, a film look and sharpening on separate layers, and switch each one on or off as you go.
Keep your clips untouched
Your original footage never changes. Turn the layer off and you're straight back to the source.
Four steps, about ten seconds.
Drop it in
Find Adjustment Layer in the Titles and Generators browser and drag it above your clips.
Trim it
Stretch it over the whole project or just the few clips you want to change.
Add effects
Select the layer and apply colour corrections, LUTs or effects as you normally would.
Fine-tune
Adjust the settings and every clip below updates. Toggle the layer to compare.

Transition Adjustment Layers
The same idea, built for transitions. Drag a transition layer above any cut and everything underneath becomes part of the move. Optimised for 16:9 and 9:16, so it works for YouTube and vertical video alike.
See Transition Adjustment Layers →A transition layer sitting over the cut between two clips.

Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. Add it to your cart, check out at $0 and your download link arrives by email straight away.
What is an adjustment layer?
A transparent clip that sits above your footage in the timeline. Any effect, colour correction or LUT you add to it applies to every clip underneath, so you can style a whole section in one go.
Does it change my original clips?
No. Your clips stay exactly as they were. Switch the layer off, or delete it, and the original footage is right there.
Can I put LUTs on it?
Yes, and it's one of the best ways to use it. Add the Custom LUT effect to the layer and the whole sequence takes the grade. Our free LUT pack is a good place to start.
How do I install it?
The quickest way is the free Full Access Plugin Installer, which puts it in the right folder for you. The download also includes a step-by-step guide.
