Sound Effects License

How you can and cannot use the sound effects you purchase from FCPX Full Access. In short: use them freely in your own work, but do not share or resell the files themselves.

The short version

Once you have purchased, you can use these sound effects in as many of your own projects as you like, personal or commercial, with no royalties and no extra fees. The one rule: the sound effects must live inside a larger piece of your work. You cannot share, give away, or resell the sound files on their own, whether original, edited or remixed.

You can

  • Use the sound effects in unlimited personal projects.
  • Use them in unlimited commercial projects, including paid client work.
  • Use them in films, videos, ads, games, podcasts, apps and other finished productions.
  • Edit, trim or layer the sounds to fit your project's needs.
  • Keep using them in your finished work forever, royalty free.

You cannot

  • Sell, share, transfer, give away or sublease the sound files to anyone else.
  • Resell the files on their own, or bundled in a pack, outside of your own finished project.
  • Include the files in a downloadable template where others could extract them, such as website or ecard templates.
  • Use the files in any competing product, such as third-party sound packs, plugins or presets.
  • Resell the files as your own product, even if transformed, modified, remixed or edited.

Full license terms

The sound effects are licensed to you, the purchaser, for use within your own creative projects. They are not sold to you outright, and ownership and copyright remain with Filmmaker Full Access (FCPX Full Access) at all times.

You may not sell, transfer, share, give away or sublease the digital products sold by Filmmaker Full Access (FCPX Full Access) to any other party. You may not resell the files by themselves, or as part of a package, except as embodied within your own finished project. You may not resell the files, or otherwise make them available, within a downloadable template where someone could download them separately, such as in ecard templates or a website template. You may not resell the files, or otherwise make them available, individually or as part of any competing product such as third-party sound packs, plugins or presets. You may not resell the files, or otherwise make them available, as your own product, even if they have been transformed, modified, remixed or edited in any way.

In plain terms: the sound effects are intended purely for use as sound effects within a larger body of your own work. Any use that makes the raw sounds available to others, in any form, is not permitted.
